Privacy Policy
Union Laundry · Last updated October 13, 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how Union Laundry handles personal information when you visit our website, contact us, use our laundry services, or interact with our business online. Our location is 1331 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, New Jersey 07083. Separate third-party services have their own privacy notices.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, messages, service preferences, order details, billing or transaction information, and information you provide when asking us to investigate a service concern. If a service requires an address, we use the address you provide for that request. Pickup and delivery is currently advertised as coming soon; this policy does not mean that service is available.
Website and device information. Our website and its providers may receive your IP address, approximate location derived from that address, browser and device type, referring page, pages visited, interactions, access times, and cookie or similar identifiers. These details help operate the website, understand traffic, diagnose problems, and protect against misuse.
Other sources. We may receive information from service providers that process a transaction or communication for us, a person you authorize to collect an order, or social platforms when you contact or mention us. Public posts may be visible to others under the platform’s settings.
Please provide only information needed for your request. Do not send full payment-card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, or medical information through an ordinary contact form, email, or social message. Use the payment method made available for your transaction.
Meta ads and callback requests. When you request a callback through our Facebook or Instagram ads, Meta makes the contact information you submit, such as your name and telephone number, and associated request details available to Union Laundry. We use that information to return your call, answer questions, arrange requested services, and keep a record of our response. Authorized staff may access requests through Meta tools or a downloaded spreadsheet. We share request information only as needed with providers assisting with those purposes, or as otherwise described in this policy. A callback request does not by itself enroll you in recurring promotional calls or texts, authorize unrelated marketing, or require a purchase. You may ask us to stop further follow-up by contacting us. Meta also processes information under its own Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/).
2. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, fulfill and support laundry orders, communicate about collection or service issues, process and reconcile transactions, maintain business records, investigate complaints, prevent fraud, secure and improve our website, and meet legal obligations. Where permitted and with any required consent, we may also send offers or information about our services. We do not treat a service inquiry as automatic consent to promotional texts.
3. How information is shared
We share information as reasonably needed with providers supporting our operations. Hosting, website, analytics, and accessibility providers may process device and usage information; communications and customer-support providers may process contact details and messages; payment and order providers may process transaction and service information. Personnel and providers receive information relevant to the work they perform.
We may disclose relevant information to comply with law or a valid legal request, protect people or property, investigate fraud, resolve disputes, or support a business transfer, subject to applicable law. We may share information at your direction, such as with someone you authorize to collect your order.
We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose website/device identifiers and browsing or interaction information to analytics and advertising partners, including Google and Meta, as described below. Those partners may process information under their own privacy policies. Disclosure for advertising may qualify as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. See sections 4 and 7 for choices and any applicable opt-out rights.
4. Cookies, analytics, and outside services
Our website uses Cents website services and Duda website technology, includes Cents tracking technology, and provides a UserWay accessibility widget. These services can involve technical requests from your browser and technologies used for site functions, preferences, usage measurement, or support. Their privacy information is available from Cents (https://www.trycents.com/privacy-policy), Duda (https://www.duda.co/legal/privacy), and UserWay (https://userway.org/privacy/). Their notices supplement, rather than replace, this policy for our handling of customer information.
You can use your browser settings to block or remove cookies and limit some tracking. Blocking cookies may affect site features and does not necessarily stop every technical request or form of measurement. Any cookie controls presented on the website apply to the technologies identified by those controls. Links, maps, social platforms, and payment services you choose to open may collect information under their own policies. We do not control those external services.
Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to understand visits, referral sources, pages viewed, and interactions such as scrolling and outbound-link clicks. Google receives technical information and event data through its tag, including browser and device information, page URLs, referring information, and online identifiers. We use reports to improve our website and assess advertising. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) and see Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) for supported browsers. The add-on does not disable other tracking tools.
Meta Pixel and advertising measurement. Our website uses the Meta Pixel. It sends page-view activity and associated technical information, such as page URLs, browser information, IP address, and cookie or advertising identifiers, to Meta. Meta may connect that activity with information from your Facebook or Instagram account and other sources under its own policies. We use this technology to measure advertising effectiveness and support relevant advertising. Third parties, including Meta, may collect or receive information from this website and elsewhere on the internet using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies and use it for measurement and ad targeting. We also connected our Google Analytics measurement ID to Meta’s third-party reporting feature to support reporting of eligible interactions on Meta. This does not mean that a website page view proves a phone call, completed laundry order, or store visit.
Advertising choices. You can review Meta ad preferences (https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences/), Google advertising controls (https://myadcenter.google.com/), and the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool (https://optout.aboutads.info/). These controls have different scopes; they may affect personalized advertising without stopping all collection or all advertisements. Browser-specific choices may need to be repeated on other devices or after deleting cookies. You can also send us a request with the subject “Privacy opt-out” using the contact details in section 7. A request sent by email does not itself immediately disable tags in your browser. Browser blocking tools and provider controls can help limit collection while your request is reviewed.
5. Email, text messages, and social media
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the message’s unsubscribe link or by contacting us. If you enroll in promotional texts, follow the opt-out instructions in the message, including replying STOP where supported. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to promotional messages is not a condition of purchasing laundry services. Necessary order or service communications are separate from marketing preferences. Contact us by phone if opting out of texts affects an order update you need.
Do not publish private order or payment details in public comments. We do not claim ownership of your posts. We request permission when required before using identifiable customer photos or testimonials in advertising.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the requested service, maintain transaction and tax records, resolve disputes, protect security, and comply with legal requirements. The relevant period depends on the type of record, its purpose, and applicable obligations. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful retention and backup limitations.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and our operations. No website, email system, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us promptly if you believe your information or an order has been misused.
7. Your privacy requests and choices
Email unionlaundry8855@gmail.com (mailto:unionlaundry8855@gmail.com) with the subject “Privacy request,” call (908) 588-2223 (tel:9085882223), or write to the address below. Tell us what you are requesting and how to reach you. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or an agent’s authority; please do not send sensitive identification documents unless we arrange an appropriate method.
Where the New Jersey Data Privacy Act applies, eligible residents may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal data, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or profiling for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Where applicable law requires recognition of authorized-agent requests or qualifying universal opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control, those requirements apply in addition to the contact methods below. Browser Do Not Track settings are not the same as Global Privacy Control; do not assume a browser setting blocks all tracking. We do not require a new account or discriminate for exercising protected rights.
For requests covered by that Act, we respond within 45 days, with a further 45 days when legally permitted and with notice. To appeal a denial, email us with “Privacy appeal” and identify the request. We respond to covered appeals within 45 days and explain the decision. If an appeal is denied, you may contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (https://njconsumeraffairs.nj.gov/file-a-complaint/). Other applicable laws may provide additional rights or different response periods.
8. Children and visitors outside the United States
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor’s use of our services.
Our business operates in New Jersey. Information submitted from outside the United States may be processed in the United States or where our providers operate, subject to applicable legal requirements. Privacy protections may differ from those in your location.
9. Changes to this policy
We update the date above when this policy changes. For material changes, we will provide a prominent website notice or another appropriate notice, and obtain consent where required before applying a materially different use of information. This policy describes our practices; it is not a request to waive your privacy rights.
